My friend is a life settlements broker and when he first told me about the fact that he was going to start doing it as a job, I was quite concerned. I was worried about the fact that I did not see it as a very nice thing to do. I assumed that it was a way of ripping people off, convincing them to sell their life insurance policies at a low value in order to profit out of them.

However, my friend is a very kind person and so I did not really understand how he would fit in to this type of job. However, he sees it from a completely different angle to me. What he does is helps people out who need the money that is tied up in their life settlements and tries his hardest to get them the most money for it that he can. He sees it as a very responsible job and a way to help out desperate people and make their lives a lot easier. He is aware that there are other people who are trying to make more profit out of it than he is but he could not do the job if he thought that he was not doing the best that he could for his clients. I know that he would not get to sleep at night if he thought that he was conning anyone.
