I have decided to have a PT6 overhaul and I am beginning to regret that I even started. I thought that it was pretty good really and only decided to have a go because I thought it could do with a clean up and would keep me occupied for a weekend. However, the PT6A overhaul has taken me much longer than I thought because I keep finding minor faults which need repairing. Nothing which would be dangerous now but in the future could be a problem. I have therefore decided to do all of PT6 repair that is necessary right now so that I will not have to look at it again for a long while. It is getting rather tedious, even though I normally like ding this sort of thing. I think mainly because I had never intended to do a full PT6 repair and so was not prepared for it. I am even considering taking a few days off work so I can really crack on with it and tie it all up and get the job done. I will see how things go this week and over the weekend first and then decide whether I need that extra time or not.
